Both Zipflow and Tradify are designed for UK tradespeople. But they're built around very different philosophies — and suit very different types of trade business. Here's an honest, detailed comparison to help you decide which is right for you.
Zipflow is built around AI voice quoting — you speak the job on site and get a professional quote in under 10 seconds. Tradify is built around comprehensive job management — scheduling, timesheets, supplier catalogues, and team coordination, with manual quote entry.
Neither is objectively better. The right choice depends almost entirely on what you need most.

This isn't close. Zipflow generates a quote in under 10 seconds from a voice description. Tradify requires you to manually add line items from a catalogue, calculate costs, and build the quote item by item — a process that typically takes 15 to 30 minutes. For sole traders who quote frequently, this time difference is enormous over the course of a week.
Zipflow is designed to be used on site, on your phone, while the details are fresh. Tradify is primarily a desk tool that works on mobile but isn't optimised for voice input or rapid on-site use. If you want to send a quote before leaving the customer's property, Zipflow is the tool for this.
Most customer communication for UK tradespeople happens over WhatsApp. Zipflow sends quotes directly via WhatsApp. Tradify sends via email only. For many tradespeople this is a deciding factor — especially for domestic customers who rarely check email promptly.
At £12.99 per month, Zipflow costs roughly a third of Tradify's per-user price. For a sole trader, the cost difference over a year is over £260. Both have free trials, but Zipflow's is 30 days compared to Tradify's 14.
Tradify is built for teams. Multiple users, job assignment, timesheet tracking, and team scheduling are all included. If you run a team of three or more, Tradify offers features Zipflow doesn't currently have.
Tradify integrates with trade suppliers allowing you to pull live material prices directly into quotes. For contractors who buy from specific suppliers regularly, this can improve pricing accuracy significantly.
Tradify connects directly to Xero and QuickBooks, syncing invoices and payments automatically. Zipflow offers CSV export for accountants which works well for year-end but isn't a live sync.
Tradify has been around since 2012. It has a large user community, extensive documentation, and a track record. Zipflow is newer, which means it's faster and more innovative but has a smaller user base.
You're a sole trader or work with one other person. You quote 5–20 jobs a week. You want to send quotes on site rather than in the evening. You communicate with customers via WhatsApp. You want to pay as little as possible for a tool that handles quoting, invoicing and scheduling. You want to get started immediately without a complicated setup.
You run a team of 3 or more people who all need access to the same system. You need timesheet tracking and job assignment across multiple workers. You buy from specific trade suppliers and want live material pricing. You need direct accounting software integration rather than CSV export. You're willing to pay more for a comprehensive platform.
The honest summary: Tradify is the better tool for managing a team. Zipflow is the better tool for quoting fast. A sole trader who needs to quote 15 jobs a week and win them quickly will almost certainly get more value from Zipflow at a third of the price. A contractor managing five employees needs features Zipflow doesn't currently offer.
Some tradespeople use Zipflow for the quoting stage — because nothing else comes close for speed — and a separate tool for job management once the work is won. This is a perfectly valid approach. Zipflow's accountant CSV export means the financial data moves cleanly to wherever you manage your books.
